NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS
Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2019.
St. Louis County Historical Society, 506 W. Michigan Street, Duluth, Minnesota, has openings on its Board of Governors. The mission statement of the Society is as follows:
The general nature and purpose of the Society shall be the discovery, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge about the history and prehistory of St. Louis County and the State of Minnesota.
The Society is seeking applicants from the Duluth area and from greater St. Louis County for service on its Board of Governors. Election by the Membership will occur at the April 23, 2019 Annual Meeting of the Membership.
An interest in history, familiarity with nonprofit governance, and fundraising experience are highly desirable. An ideal candidate would have time to prepare for and attend regular meetings, effectively and consistently participate in governing the organization, and generally enhance its operations and promote its mission.
