History in a Pint - 11/15/2022



TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 5:30 PM "Treasures from the David Wisted Post #28 Collection" At the Lake Superior Railroad Museum


Veterans Memorial Hall, a program of the St. Louis County Historical Society, and the Lake Superior Railroad Museum announce their next event in the local history presentation series, History in a Pint.


Speakers Neill Atkins and Dwight "Deac" Nelson will discuss their most recent, generous donation of artifacts, photographs, letters, and ephemera from the American Legion Post #28 (David Wisted Post).


The History in a Pint program series is presented by Veterans Memorial Hall wherein a veteran, or a veteran’s story, is presented about their experiences serving in the military while enjoying a pint of beer or two from some of our local brewers, available for purchase. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and join in camaraderie. Attendance is free of charge, but donations are welcomed. Seating will be available.


PARKING: Parking is available around the back of The DEPOT complex. Follow signage to the North Shore Scenic Railway entry; parking accessible from 4th Ave. West.

Veterans Memorial Hall was established in 1910 and is a joint program of the St. Louis County Historical Society and the military service veterans of northeastern Minnesota with a mission to gather, preserve, interpret, and promote the rich and diverse human experiences of veterans, their families and communities, through museum, archival and educational programs.
