USMC SGT James Joseph Hubert’s Long Journey Home

Veterans Memorial Hall, a program of the St. Louis County Historical Society, announces their next presentation of their local recurring history series, History in a Pint, at the Veterans On The Lake Resort in Ely, Minnesota.

This program’s topic will be "USMC SGT James Joseph Hubert’s Long Journey Home" from WWII as told by his nephew Jay Hagen. Mr. Hagen is the Veterans Memorial Hall Program Manager and will be presenting all aspects of his uncle’s service & sacrifice, his 73 years MIA (Missing In Action), his eventual recovery and repatriation home to Duluth in 2017. This will be held in the Dining Hall of the Veterans On The Lake Resort on Wednesday, February 15, at 6:00 pm.

The History in a Pint program series is presented by Veterans Memorial Hall wherein a veteran, or a veteran’s story, is presented about their experiences serving in the military – all while enjoying an adult beverage, available for purchase. All are welcome to attend, learn, ask questions and join in the camaraderie. Attendance is free of charge, but donations are always welcomed.
