Never Forgotten: The Man Behind the Medal - Traveling Exhibit Preview

The Society's traveling exhibit entitled Never Forgotten: The Man Behind the Medal is currently on display in the Traveling Exhibits Alcove, located just outside the Society's main office doors in the Depot. This exhibit describes Duluthian Major Henry A. Courtney’s brief life, from his Duluth Central High School days, where he was known as the “blonde giant,” to his final courageous acts of leadership in the Battle of Sugar Loaf Hill during WWII. Traveling Exhibits may be loaned, for a nominal fee, to museums, historical societies, schools and colleges and other organizations. Family Day at the Depot on Dec. 9!

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE ON DECEMBER 9, FROM 10 AM - 1 PM The following information was provided by the Historic Union Depot. The Duluth Depot, also known as St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center, would like to welcome everyone to join us for a Holiday Open House on December 9th, from 10am until 1pm. The Duluth Depot will offer our $25 Family Rate all day, which means your entire immediate family gets admission to all four floors of the Duluth Depot’s museums for just $25 all day long. In addition, from 10:00 – 1:00 the Duluth Depot’s Participating Member Organizations will be hosting hot cocoa and cookies in the Great Hall.
