A Guide to Resources

As mentioned in our Archives section, the UMD's Kathryn A. Martin Library houses the majority of our archival collections under Archives and Special Collections.
Below is a handout from the April 5, 2021, Twin Ports Genealogical Society Presentation by Aimee Brown, Archivist and Curator of Special Collections, entitled “What’s New at the UMD Archives?”
While our archival collections and the Kathryn A. Martin Library are excellent resources, we found it prudent to include additional institutions that may aid in your research. The following is a starting point in finding what you need to supplement your study.
Local Interpretive Groups
Minnesota Historical Society (MHS)
Leif Erikson Viking Ship Restoration Project
Academic Institutions
The College of St. Scholastica
Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College
