Updated: 1 day ago

After 50+ years of bringing the 1800s logging era to life, we are saying a fond farewell to the J.C. Ryan Forestry Gallery. Join us as we celebrate its legacy before we begin an exciting new chapter!

🗓 WHEN: Tuesday, January 20

TIME: 5:30 PM

📍 WHERE: The Depot, Duluth

Why you should join us:

  • Final Look: Explore the artifact-dense logging camp and see the "Sky Pilot’s Folding Organ" one last time.

  • Special Guests: Go behind the scenes with Curator Terry Johnson and designer Gary Lundstrom to hear the untold stories of how this iconic exhibit came to life.

  • The Future: Learn about the upcoming transformation of this space into an expanded and refreshed Lake Superior Ojibwe Gallery!

While we are making way for the future, our logging heritage will live on—select artifacts will be moving to other areas of the St. Louis County Depot.

Come celebrate our past with us!
