The Twin Ports Festival of History returns in 2026 with a slate of talks and deep dives into local and regional history.

Join us for an Open House on Saturday, March 28 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM

Society Executive Director, Wayne Gannaway, will present “The Art of Soldiering: Servicemembers, Satire, and Cartoons.” Explore the unique, often humorous, and deeply personal world of military life through the lens of those who lived it. Discover how satire helped servicemembers navigate the challenges of duty and what their cartoons reveal about our shared history. Catch Wayne's talk at either 11AM or 1PM.

Also, be among the first to see our new traveling exhibit Sovereign Nations: Discovering the Treaty Story of Minnesota’s Indigenous Peoples. The History of the Erie Mining Company banners will also be on display for a limited time. We hope to see you there!
