Dave Anderson, the longest-serving meteorologist in the Northland, is not only a broadcasting veteran but also a passionate history enthusiast and dedicated community leader.

A native of Ely, Dave began his broadcasting career in 1986 as a custodian at CBS3. His interest in weather was sparked while drawing weather maps for meteorologist Jack McKenna at KBJR.

For this special evening, Dave will speak about the importance of remembering Pearl Harbor, and he will showcase powerful interviews he has conducted with survivors over the last 38 years.

Beyond his work on air, Dave’s community involvement is extensive:

  • He serves on the board of Veterans Memorial Hall.

  • He is a longtime U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliarist (over 25 years).

  • He currently serves as Division Commander of the USCG Auxiliary Northstar Division.

  • He has been an adjunct meteorology instructor for Lake Superior College since 2003.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear from an acclaimed local figure whose life has been dedicated to both informing the community and preserving the stories of our veterans.
